HOW TO: Disable License Expiration Warning

Got some emails asking what this warning message is about when opening ArcGIS.

FeatureExpiration1

Departments may at times request to evaluate a certain Esri product for a limited period of time.  This pop-up is shown when launching ArcGIS when a trial extension or feature is soon to expire from the central license manager.

The majority of users aren’t trying out an extension and shouldn’t be concerned about one expiring soon, so this pop-up can be rather annoying.

Here’s how to disable it:

First, close all ArcGIS programs. ArcMap, ArcCatalog, CAMS, etc.

From the Windows start menu navigate to the ArcGIS folder and open the ArcGIS Administrator (where you configure the license manager).

Click the Advanced button and then uncheck the box under License Expiration.

Save then relaunch ArcMap without the pop-up.
