2.            Issues and Resolution/Workaround

Answered:

  • When someone comments on my work, I don’t get any emails. à For public items, you can subscribe RSS feed. Not for the items shared only within Organization or private.
  • When I invited people to join the AGOL and the person did join, I don’t get any email. à No email capability yet. You need to check “pending members.”
  • Enterprise login does not allow for Esri Access. We need to use the public account.  à For now, that is the only way.
  • Enterprise login cannot be invited by other organization? Only built-in account can be found by other organization. à Change the profile to “public.”
  • Is the home page look of the LA City hub site using the Open Data template or custom of AGOL? We are thinking of face-lifting of our AGOL home page. à This is http://geohub.lacity.org/  an Open Data site.  Or this https://lahub.maps.arcgis.com – this is out of the box ArcGIS Online home page modifications in the Edit tab.
  • Cost for adding additional users à $750 for a 5 pack

Unanswered questions:

  • How to search the members when you do not know the beginning of the name. Is there wildcard search method?
  • How to set a default credit limit
  • Can custom role (close to administrator role) have credit management permission?
  • What happens to the report created in Community Analyst when we delete the account in AGOL, and create Enterprise Account?
  • How can we assign default group when inviting users using Enterprise Login?
