TriMet’s Open Trip Planner

We already know that Google Maps provides directions via Driving, Transit, Walking, or Cycling. What about a way to mix and simultaneously optimize all of the above?

We can thank Madeline Steele from TriMet (Portland, Oregon and vicinity) for passing along her info on Open Trip Planner (OTP). In Oregon, it was determined that using OpenStreetMap data was their tool of choice for routing for many reasons.
