LARIAC6 Kick-off Meeting Feb 25 & 27

Here is the agenda for our upcoming LARIAC Status Update and User Group Meetings. We will have two meetings, one in the City of Arcadia and one in the City of Long Beach, and I hope one of these locations is convenient for you. The main content will be the same for both locations.

RSVP here: https://forms.gle/B8NRtjJ3FjAXwL6UA

We will have exciting user presentations by LA County Department of Public Works (DPW) Survey/Mapping & Property Management Division and Port of Long Beach to showcase catchment area delineation and Port Atlas, respectively. I would also like to share you all the recent pilot project we launched with CycloMedia. In East Los Angeles, we captured 360 degree street-level imagery and LiDAR. The immediate goals of this project are to (1) determine if there is value to this rich dataset by the Consortium, (2) identify and prioritize sidewalks and curb ramps that are not ADA compliant, and (3) extract features from imagery (e.g. locations of fire hydrants, light poles, signs, ramps, and sidewalks). Below are a few images of the product and tools that are available in the licensed web viewer (e.g. measurement, flood modeling).

LA County DPW Road Maintenance Division will provide an un-biased review and opinion of the collected imagery and ramps that were measured and extracted by CycloMedia.

Scheduled at the end of our meeting is a very important open discussion to go over future projects and endeavors the Consortium should consider (e.g. machine learning, drones). We would also like your feedback on the frequent image capture (3-inch resolution; non-AccuPlus) that occurred in the spring and fall.

Hope you all can join us at either location. See you there! Lunch will be provided by EagleView so please RSVP 🙂
