LARIAC Image Service Layers Name Change

EagleView recreated our LARIAC mosaics to include additional zoom levels and that is why there are duplicate image service layers in our LARIAC library. We have scheduled a cleanup of the image library to deprecate the old image service layers (with limited zoom levels) so note the process and timeline below.

On Friday, August 7, EagleView will:

  1. Change the layer names for the old layers with a tag that designates them as OLD (or something similar). This should not change the underlying link so your viewers should remain fully functional over the weekend.
  2. Change the layer names for the new layers (with additional zoom levels) by removing “_OM” and duplication. The new layers will end up with the same name as the previous layers, minus the “_OLD” tag.

The process of changing the names takes 1-2 days. On the morning of Monday, August 10, you need to update the image service links from the OLD warehouse to the new one in your application(s). It’s not necessary but if you can, please give Christine Lam (CLam2@isd.lacounty.gov) a status update – an OK, or if something went wrong, a screenshot of the error and any other relevant details.

I know there’s been quite a few changes in the image library since EagleView has hosted our mosaics but it’s a learning process for them and us. Thank you for your cooperation.
