It appears online meetings and demos are here to stay, and it made sense to explain a little about a potential security risk when a map with sensitive locations are shown at a meeting. Coordinates can be extracted from an image and reverse geocoded. Plenty of dangers may occur.
My own two cents says a dot grid visualization may be suitable for sharing data where every viewer is securely tracked, but not for public facing sites. Security and/or privacy officers should be consulted on how, or who with, sensitive data is shared.
