ArcGIS Online to update 11/9/2022 starting at 5pm

A message from our customer support team at Esri:

This is a friendly reminder that ArcGIS Online will be updating on the evening of Wednesday, November 9th from 5:00PM to midnight (PT) . If you rely on any web maps or apps within ArcGIS Online, it is highly recommended that you check these to ensure that they are working as expected, and then check them daily throughout the week following the update to ensure they continue to work as expected.

There is a small window that our DevOps team has to patch anything that the release may have impacted. Please report any release related issues within ArcGIS Online to Technical Support immediately, and be sure to include “ArcGIS Online Release Related…” in the subject line.

Please refer to the follow ArcGIS Online Blog post about what’s to come in the November 2022 release, and what will be retired/deprecated.

There is always the possibility that the update could get pushed back. Please refer to additional messaging resources such as status.arcgis.com and the ArcGIS Online Twitter account for more live information.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments.

Commentary:

It looks like ArcGIS Dashboards Classic will retire this update, and the Minimalist template for ArcGIS Instant Apps will be deprecated. If you have any apps using those formats, please take extra care during this update. On the admin side, we’ll be able to see when an item was last viewed. We may bring that data point into the ArcGIS Online Management Tracking Dashboard so we can all easily identify stale items.
