The City Boundaries layer in the EGISDBP1 repository at eGIS_Boundaries_Political.EGIS.DPW_CITY_BOUNDARIES has been updated to reflect the schema and data changes described in this post. The changes are reflected in the core REST services that use that layer on our arcgis and public servers.
If you are using the DPW_CITY_BOUNDARIES layer in other map services on other servers, you may need to stop and restart the services for the changes to take effect.
The table eGIS_Boundaries_Political.EGIS.DPW_CITY_BOUNDARIES_NEW_SCHEMA is still available as well for any services pointing there. We will confirm timing for the deletion of that table at the next Data Committee meeting 12/14/22.
In addition, the CSA boundaries in the table eGIS_Boundaries_Political.EGIS.BOS_COUNTYWIDE_STATISTICAL_AREAS have been updated to match the updated city boundaries. As discussed in the last Data Committee meeting, we have schema changes pending for this layer as well (adding the FeatType field to distinguish land from water). We will follow up on these changes at the next Data Committee meeting as well.
